Welcome to the Dolphins class! The Dolphins are affectionately known as the “young fours” class. Students are generally 42 to 48 months old. The small class has two teaching partners daily. We embrace each child as a unique individual and a special creation of God. Our goal is to stimulate each child’s emotional, physical, social, cognitive, and spiritual growth by providing developmentally appropriate learning experiences in a loving Christian environment.

Dolphins learn that God is our creator who sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to save us. He made each of us special. We learn His teachings so we can try to live like Jesus. We employ puppets, storytelling, and crafts to bring His message from the Bible to life.
In the Dolphin class, students strengthen their language and pre-reading skills by learning to recognize upper/lowercase letters and sounds, engage with predictable text, and rhyme words to build phonemic awareness. In Math, students begin to learn about math in everyday life including shapes, colors, positional words, patterns, and one to one correspondence.

We strengthen crucial handwriting fine motor skills by “playing” with things like play dough or investigating different art mediums. Music is a fundamental part of our class, which we use to integrate academics and gross motor skills.

Learning is fun in the Dolphin classroom! Our motto is “Our play is our work!”
